During this eight-day course, Making Cents will facilitate a practical hands-on capacity building program for organizations looking to more effectively serve as a provider or a link to providers of youth-inclusive financial services. Through applied activities, case study discussions, and experiential learning, these courses will provide participants with the following:
- An understanding of the issues particular to the youth market;
- Tools and field experience on how to conduct market research with young people;
- Strategies and tools to design, adapt or deliver products to young people;
- Strategies for effectively creating partnerships to deliver financial services to young people; and
- Guidelines for creating a youth-friendly office environment and staff.
Course Participants: This course is designed for mid-level to senior staff from financial services providers and youth-serving organizations that would like to learn more about what it takes to provide youth market segments with financial services.

Training of Trainers Supplemental Workshop*
Are you interested in becoming certified as a YFS-Link Lead Trainer?
Join Making Cents and other training professionals for a supplemental four-day YFS training of trainers (ToT) workshop. Participants receive instruction and coaching on Making Cents' applied learning methodology and are given the opportunity to co-train with a Master Trainer in order to gain practical experience in YFS-Link course facilitation. Upon successful completion of the course requirements, you will be certified as a YFS-Link Lead Trainer.
Course Participants: This course is designed for professional trainers with a minimum of 3 years of training experience related to microfinance who are committed to taking the YFS-Link training forward in their country or region.
Dates: Monday, June 27 - Friday, July 8, 2011 (including Saturday, July 2 and Sunday, July 3)
Cost: US$1,500 (room and board included)
