World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU)
Credit unions use a variety of techniques for youth outreach, including visiting schools, forming groups of young savers, creating special teller windows for youth, and providing incentives for saving and/or for good grades. Some credit unions host youth events, competitions and camps to provide fun and educational activities that enhance youth development and leadership. Many credit unions have also created mascots to promote youth programs.
